@Hitesh yes! you can join the formula car team. A chemical engineer can play vital role in engine thermal management, process design & calculations, fuel & material expertise like in lightweight parts and manufacturing knowledge.
Mostly depend on team captain, how he take inputs from individual team member? Your choice to do hard work in team.
Currently, lot’s of formula car championship either have fully electric or hybrid options. So battery cell development is a particular area where chemical engineer must play.
Real world experience and networking bonus…

Apart from engineering, their is adminstration stuff too like project management, sponsership, marketing and managing account. If you have leadership skill with few soft skills can be win win situation too. Best of luck
