AIOUS Formula Student at Formula Bharat 25

“Challenges test us, failures teach us, and perseverance defines us.”

Hello Everyone, I am thrilled to share my journey with Formula Student 2025. My journey began in February 2024 when I had little understanding of what a chassis or suspension really was. Gradually, we immersed ourselves in learning from diverse sources and mastered the art of design. I still remember a day when I felt overwhelmed by the challenges yet I persevered despite the pressure of balancing academics.

After months of design iterations and refinements, we finally moved to the manufacturing phase-a whole new challenge in itself. This was where theory met reality, and we had to get our hands dirty. We built our chassis from scratch, do welding and grinding by ourselves. I still remember the late December nights, working in freezing temperatures, our hands numb from the cold, but our determination never wavered. Then came the testing phase, where setbacks hit us hard-our wheel hub broke, and on the day of loading the car our ECU stopped working. It felt like everything was falling apart, but a miracle happened and we bought an ECU from Mayapuri. At 2 AM, we loaded our car for the competition.

On day zero our engine ceased we all were getting sad and depressed, thought everything was finished but we didn’t stop there we took the car to the competition site for the Mech-TI. Although we didn’t make it but we gained invaluable learning. Each challenge taught us resilience, teamwork, and the importance of never giving up.

Formula Bharat was never just a competition-it was an experience that defined what it means to truly live your B.Tech life. It was about the sleepless nights, the adrenaline rush before an event, it was about to support each other through every setback, and celebrated every small win like it was the biggest achievement. It taught us that true success isn’t just about building a car; it’s about building a team, creating memories, and pushing each other beyond limits we never thought possible.

And Right, win and loose not matter much. But experience, memory and learning. You talked that car engine ceased, How? and I am curious to know is your race driver also female.

The detailed analysis of engine failure and other support system would help to avoid such situation in future. It will also provide a guideline about what should be avoided during design and testing.
So if you can share more about your experience and analysis it would be great.
